Earthman & Lemasters, 2009. This research was designed to investigate the possible relationship between the attitudes,teachers have about the condition of their classrooms when the classrooms were independently assessed. Previous research reported teachers in unsatisfactory classrooms felt frustrated and neglected to such an extent that they sometimes reported they were willing to leave the teaching profession. This paper aims to address these issues.

The purpose of this manual is to explain the spectrum of activities involved in the planning, design, and construction of school facilities and to increase awareness of all activities that comprise the total effort necessary for successful, cost-effective school projects. If your school district is ready to embark upon a school facility building program: Have you already started, and are you uncertain of what to do and when to do it? Do you know what resources are available to help you plan, design, and construct? Do you know how to find appropriate consultants and what you should expect from them? Do you know who all the people are that normally participate in planning, design and construction?

(Dissertation by Ronald Taylor, 2009). The purpose of this study was to examine the possible relationship between the condition of school facilities in the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS), as measured by the Facilities Condition Index (FCI), and academic proficiencies in mathematics and reading, as measured by the Stanford Achievement Test, Ninth Edition, (Stanford 9) in 2005, as well as attendance and truancy rates for the corresponding school year.

(Derlikowski, 2013). The quality of school facilities can have a major impact on the education that our children receive and whether they succeed in school. Research, court decisions, and states have long recognized tht disparities in access to basic school facilities can lead to differences in educational outcomes, especially for low-income students. This brief makes the case that state funding for school facilities should be increased to meet the needs of all districts. The official standard, that facilities need only be warm, safe, and dry, is not good enough.

Safe and secure facilities that foster learning are crucial to providing quality education services, and developing and maintaining these facilities requires considerable resources and organization. Facility information systems allow education organizations to collect and manage data that can be used to inform and guide decision making about the utility, efficiency, safety, and adequacy of school facilities.
